Boa constrictor orophias
Second Antilles clear endemic subspecies is Boa constrictor orophias. This
subspecies was defined also by LLinnaeus in year 1758. Middle sized snakes
with interesting pattern and high variability with trend to darken on tail.
They were found almost black exemplars.
About biology of Boa constrictor orophias is not everything well known,
although it seems to be a good captive animal. Effectual captive breed could
help to protect the vanishing of this subspecies from the world.
